Welcome!
Thank you for joining me on this adventure! I am so excited to be starting this blog and getting to share it with all of you! So, first things first. A little about me. I am an independent successful woman living in the city. I discovered my passion for cooking and baking a little later in life. I had always appreciated delicious food and sweet delectables, but I didn’t start creating them until my early thirties. I have always enjoyed hosting and entertaining from small intimate dinners to my annual holiday bash. I love the planning, prepping, the creative aspect, and the final result; the presentation. Bonus, you get to eat most of it! With my passion for food and baking I get to display my art and share with my friends and family that I love. That is what I truly enjoy. Making people happy with my creations. I also love to inspire people to try their hand at their own creations and parties!
I currently work in the corporate world, but I come from a creative background. I have a film degree and have always had an affinity for the arts: drawing, writing and photography. With creating this blog, I get to combine my passion for all things baking, cooking and entertaining along with my other creative outlets. Win win!
During the week, I love to eat and make healthy, whole food for myself that is not only yummy, but that is also good for you! I’ll be sharing those with you all too. When I am not in the kitchen or planning my next party, I enjoy hanging out with my amazing dog, Kea (you will see plenty of Kea), traveling around the world with friends, working out, (I am SoulCycle and Lagree junkie) and most importantly spending time with loved ones.
My family and friends are very important to me. In fact, they are the ones that told me I should do this and share with all of you. Of course, I had my doubts at first (am I good enough, will people like it…) but pushed those aside and decided to share myself, and push self-doubt aside. It’s not always going to be easy, but nothing worth having is. It’s never going to be perfect, but it will be mine and I will pour myself into it. So, I say thank you again for joining me. Try my recipes, share my ideas, throw your own socials! Always share with your friends and family and buckle up and enjoy the ride!
XOXO
Diane
