Sweet potato pie dip! Why make the whole pie when you can save the time, energy and hassle and just enjoy the flavors in dip form! Super simple, super quick and most importantly, super-duper delicious! This dip is dairy free to boot. The flavor of sweet potato, brown sugar, warm spices and, of course, marshmallow is a slice of pie in a bite, er… a dip!
With Thanksgiving just 12 days away, we are thinking about the menu, prep, shopping, etc. I know everybody talks a big turkey and side game, but one of my favorite things about Thanksgiving is the appetizer game! It’s my favorite game! Now, this is a sweet app, but as I always say, you need sweet pre-dinner bites to go along with the savory bites to balance it all out y’all. I do a combo of sweet and savory apps for every party I host. I also like to spread the apps around the different seating areas of the party, so some on the kitchen island, some on the coffee table, so everyone has access to delectables wherever they are hanging!
Dips are an easy, enjoyable, do ahead app any time! Savory or sweet. That’s why I love to incorporate them. When hosting, it’s important to plan out when it needs to be prepared and if oven time is necessary for your all your dishes. Well this dip comes together in under 15 minutes and can be made the day before and stay in the fridge until party time. Really cuts down on the day of to do list when you are on a strict oven schedule. This is perfect for your dessert app because it has all the traditional flavors of that sweet potato pie, but casualness of a dip.
Torched mini marshmallows to top it off with! Who doesn’t love a toasty mallow? Nobody I want to know!
Like I said, this comes together toot sweet and you can serve with pretty much whatever your little heart desires. I like a combo of dippers. I used Terra chips, the Sweets, it’s a combo of sweet potato chips and apple chips with light cinnamon, delish! Then, of course, graham crackers go swimmingly, think graham cracker crust. For a little balance, pretzels would be great with the salt. You see, anything goes! Have fun with it.
Cinnamon spice mix perfectly coat the chip for the ultimate dip!
My maple cardamom shortbread cookies were made for dipping! And they look good doing it! 🙂
As we head into the home stretch (and our stretchy pants), this is an easy addition to your menu and will sure be a crowd pleaser. So, go ahead have your pie before dinner, that is sweet potato pie dip! And dig into the holidays chip first!
Happy Weekending and Dipping It!
