Za'atar Spiced Nuts! Best Bar Snacks Ever!

Serves: 3 cups
Ingredients
  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 tbsp. date nectar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp. Za'atar
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. cardamom
  • ¼ tsp. all spice
  • ⅛ tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the egg white with date nectar and whisk to combine.
  3. In a small bowl, combine all the spices and mix.
  4. Add the nuts to the bowl with egg white and date nectar and stir until all the nuts are coated. Add the spices in a few batches mixing so that all the nuts get evenly spiced.
  5. Pour the nuts on the prepared baking sheet and spread out evenly.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes then toss the nuts and bake for an additional 8 to 12 minutes until the nuts are golden, toasted and dried.
  7. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely on rack. Place cooled nuts in airtight container at room temperature for up to a few weeks (they won't last that long before you eat!)
