With all the holidaying and partying we can’t neglect the merry makin’ juice! That would be the booze!! It’s time for the signature cocktail! I love a good sig cocktail or shot! Just really adds a nice touch to your party and fun to play with the flavors of the season. Say hello to my little friend, Caramel Gingerbread Martini! Fun, festive, and full of flavor!
I always have a signature cocktail at all of my events. It’s fun to come up with a drink that fits theme or season. I have been on a major gingerbread kick lately. It’s the holidays all wrapped up in a bite or now in a sip! This is very easy to make and you can make a big batch ahead of the party so it’s ready to pour and greet your guests as they walk through the door. This can easily be made into shots for all your guests for that perfect sip of fun too!
I do try to keep my signature drinks light in color. I remember one year, the signature drink was a candy cane martini (white) and my friend was sitting on the couch with her martini glass and don’t ask me how she lost her grip, but there went the whole candy cane martini! Luckily, mostly down the front of her shirt and just a little on the couch! But thankfully my signature drink wasn’t red!! From then on we give Stacey a sippy cup! 😉
Ok, so on to how this ginger is made. Like I said, very simple (look at me on my simple kick) just caramel flavor vodka, gingerbread syrup (I made mine homemade, very easy or store-bought syrup) lite coconut milk from the can (Can sub milk/half and half) and crushed ginger snaps to garnish the rim!
Homemade ginger syrup, really easy and keeps for a long time in the fridge!
Crushed ginger snaps perfect for the rim! Mmm, snappy!
I feel the signature drink is a must at any party and this one is perfect for your next gathering! Careful though, these go down easy and you don’t want a gingerbread hangover!! 🙂
Cheers!
Diane
- For the Martini:
- 4.5oz. of caramel flavor vodka
- 6oz of canned lite coconut milk (can sub milk/half and half)
- 2 tbsp. of gingerbread syrup (homemade or store bought)
- Ginger snap cookies for garnish
- Gingerbread Syrup:
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp. freshly grated ginger (can sub 2½ tsp. ground ginger)
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp. all spice
- a pinch of ground cloves
- a pinch of nutmeg
- For the Gingerbread Syrup:
- Place all ingredients in a small sauce pan and whisk to combine. Heat over low heat to simmer for 25 to 30 minutes. Stir occasionally. Heat until slightly reduced and thickened. Pour into heat proof jar or container and allow to cool to room temp. Store in air-tight container in the fridge. Will last about as long as maple syrup. So a long time.
- For the Martini:
- Crush the gingersnaps or gingerbread men cookies in a zip-lock bag until you have crumbs. Set aside.
- On a small plate pour a little ginger syrup or maple syrup on the plate. Dip the rims of your martini glasses in the syrup. Pour your ginger crumbs on to another small plate and dip the prepared rims of the glasses into the cookie crumbs until the rim is coated. Set aside.
- Pour the vodka, coconut milk and gingerbread syrup into a cocktail shaker. Add ice, shake and pour into garnished martini glasses.
- Enjoy!

I love anything ginger, so this is a must-try for me. I made your peppermint bark this week. It’s fabulous! I’m glad I tucked half of it away in the freezer, or there wouldn’t be any left for Christmas 🙂
